Marcus Trescothick's autobiography about his mental illness brought on from the stress of international cricket, is available from the 1st September.
In 'Coming back to me' Marcus Trescothick ('Banger') describes how depression brought on serious levels of anxiety and panic attacks. His physical well-being was out of his control. He flew home early from the Test series in India 2006 and then again in Australia 2006/7 suffering from the illness. When he was unable to travel on a pre-season trip to the UAE with Somerset, he decided to end his international career.
Since these low-points he has managed to control the illness and is playing well for Championship contenders Somerset. He was the first batsman to 1000 runs in the First Division. For Somerset fans, its good to see him settled and playing great cricket once again.
