Rome Wasn't Built In a Day

Rome Wasn't Built In a DayJust when everything was going ‘as sweet as’ Sky TV have come along and ballsed it all up.

Australia are on a downward spiral, win less and in apoplexy over selection. In stark contrast England are (so far) cruising like a well oiled machine with head mechanic Andy Flower tightening the nuts and bolts. Our second team are doing well and Monty is even taking spectacular catches.

Brick by brick and stone by stone the walls of Rome have come up around this England team to make them a solid outfit. Many days of hard work have gone into this process only for it to now be put in serious jeopardy.

Why oh why then have Sky decided to start using their new Ashes promotional video? It features a Sir Ian Botham (rousing) team talk with the squad dressed as Roman Gladiators. They’re all trying to look like battled hardened warriors but Stuart Broad, he of the cherubic face, just looks like he’s trying to ask permission to go to the toilet or he’s about to burst out laughing at any second. It's not Call of Duty: Black Ops (PS3). It’s embarrassing.

One look at this rubbish and the Aussies are going to piss themselves and get right back on track. Sky please just put it back in it’s little box and quietly stuff it under the sofa... now!... or get the guys who did the Yeo Valley advert.
