Sachin Tendulkar, no question. But back at the end of 2008 it was a very different story:
Sachin Tendulkar is undergoing a swansong. Between 2002 and 2006 Tendulkar's ICC rating was in decline. This decline halted in 2006 and from 2008 has seen serious improvement from an already high base.
Ricky Ponting however has been in decline since 2008. Can he reverse this process like Sachin has or will the years of captaincy catch up with him and he'll retire earlier than Tendulkar?
