Rain for Australia's Parade
Monday, November 15, 2010 : The Ashes, England, Tests
Even the Weather is conspiring against Australia. Not only did it rain on Cricket Australia’s Ashes Squad Announcement parade today but the Met Office is forecasting a wet and cool summer. I think the more pallid members of the England team will appreciate this.
Only 30-40 fans were present when CA announced their 17 man squad today. Supposed to be an opportunity to big up the home team it turned into a damp squibb.
Dr Harvey Stern, a climate scientist at The Bureau of Meteorology has warned that there are 2 significant weather patterns in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. These are predicted to provide more precipitation than usual and more cloud cover over the next 3 months.
More English-like conditions are only going to help one team. Is God an Englishman?
