Rain for Australia's Parade

Monday, November 15, 2010 : The Ashes, England, Tests

Rain for Australia's ParadeEven the Weather is conspiring against Australia. Not only did it rain on Cricket Australia’s Ashes Squad Announcement parade today but the Met Office is forecasting a wet and cool summer. I think the more pallid members of the England team will appreciate this.

Only 30-40 fans were present when CA announced their 17 man squad today. Supposed to be an opportunity to big up the home team it turned into a damp squibb.

Dr Harvey Stern, a climate scientist at The Bureau of Meteorology has warned that there are 2 significant weather patterns in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. These are predicted to provide more precipitation than usual and more cloud cover over the next 3 months.

More English-like conditions are only going to help one team. Is God an Englishman?
