Warning: Mitchell Johnson’s Virtual Eye Pitch Map Requires Wide Screen TVMustachioed super-villain, Mitchell ‘Dick Dastardly’ Johnson, has not had the best of matches. After issuing his pre-match catchphrase ‘I’m gonna get you Andrew Pitstop’, Dick Johnson duly produced a series of ill-fated attempts to get his man.

At the end of many of his overs he was often heard on stump-mic tutting to himself ‘Drat, Drat and Double Drat!’ as each time his complicated plans, such as ‘hurling it as fast as he could’, were not foiled by the batsmen, but simply by his own incompetence.

This performance will come as a shock and some embarrassment to his sponsors Acme Corporation, makers of the Virtual Eye real-time graphics package. Whenever Sky Sports attempted to show his Pitch Map during commentary, the TV just showed some blurry marks at the edge of the screen. Later a simple message came up saying ‘To view this graphic you will need a special Widescreen TV’.

Acme Corporation are considering dropping Mitchell Johnson for the next match as are the Australian Selectors.

Please note that Virtual Eye is actually made by a Kiwi company based in Dunedin, Animation Research Ltd (ARL) and not Acme Corporation who are a fictitious company created by cartoonists Hanna-Barbera.
