England Take The Plaudits
Thursday, November 25, 2010 : The Ashes, England, Tests
England take the plaudits, reaching 337-6 on Day One with a middle order centurion remaining not out at the close of play. England’s Performance Programme side that is in their game against Queensland Academy.
Good batting performances from Eoin Morgan (71) and Craig Kiewswetter (65) were topped by James Hildreth’s dominant 142 not out. Should any of the full England side’s top order not perform before the third test then there are plenty of middle order players in good form.
A scenario you could see happening before the end of the series is Trott being replaced by Bell at 3 and Morgan coming in at 6. Trott needs to be more assured and convert his starts, or look out.
