Crisis? What Crisis? Jason Krejza takes 8 Wickets
Friday, November 07, 2008 : Tests
Where did that come from? Jason John Krejza takes 8 first innings wickets in his debut Test match. Not since Bob Massie has an Australian accomplished this feat. The widespread discussion over the Aussies lacking a spinner with enough ability to bowl out the Indians has taken a different turn. In the words of Supertramp, Crisis? What Crisis?
However, a note of caution. This is only one innings in one match on a helpful wicket and 'Krazy' did conceeded almost 5 runs an over for each of his 44 overs. Having been overlooked for the first three Tests in the series, the off-spinner has answered his critics and stood up to the Indians plan of going after him.
Krejza's father is a footballer from Czechoslovakia and his mother comes from Poland. Before making his Test debut in the current match against India he had only played 24 first-class matches.
