Not only is Caddyshack a 80’s American comedy starring Chevy Chase and Bill Murray it is an affectionate name the Somerset faithful have given to the Andy Caddick Pavilion.
The players pavilion at the County Ground, Taunton is officially called the Andy Caddick Pavilion, but locals know it as the Caddyshack. Gloucester RFC have a similar structure at their ground, but for spectators, comically? known as The Shed. Australians famously call any building from a piss-pot tin shack to the MCG a ‘shed’. Andy Caddick was a tall English bowler with a classical action. Chevy Chase is an American comedian who bowls like a buffoon.
