Who are the Australian Cricket Selectors?Who are the Australian Cricket Selectors? Andrew Hilditch (Chairman), David Boon, Merv Hughes and Jamie Cox. And NO they are not muppets!

The Cricket Australia Board of Directors appoints a National Selection Panel each year. Selection decisions are approved by the Cricket Australia Directors based on the recommendations provided to them by the members of the National Selection Panel:

Andrew Hilditch (Chairman)

Andrew Mark Jefferson Hilditch, is a former Australian cricketer who played in 18 Tests and 8 ODIs from 1979 to 1985. He played for New South Wales from 1977 to 1981 and for South Australia from 1982 to 1992. He has been an Australian cricket selector since 1996.

David Boon

David Clarence Boon, MBE, nicknamed Boony, is a former Australian cricketer whose international playing career spanned the years 1984-1995. A right-handed batsman and a very occasional off-spin bowler, he played First-class cricket for both his home state Tasmania and English county side Durham. Also known as the 'Keg-on-Legs'.

Greg Chappell

Also Cricket Australia National Talent Manager. Former Australian batsman and was captain from 1975-1977. Younger, brother of another Australian cricket captain, Ian and older brother of underarm bowling expert Trevor. Famously bowled the ball that Boycott hit for four to bring up his hundreth hundred.

Jamie Cox

Jamie Cox is a former opening batsman cricketer, who played for the Tasmanian Tigers in Australia's domestic competitions. He previously played county cricket in England where he captained Somerset. He is currently the Director of Cricket at the South Australian Cricket Association.
